Jalapeno Popper Chicken
You'll adore this dish if you enjoy jalapeo poppers. If you've never had them, jalapeo poppers are peppers that have been stuffed with a combination of cheese, spices, and occasionally ground beef, then breaded and deep-fried. This jalapeo popper chicken recipe turns the well-known snack into a weekday main course that the whole family will enjoy.
Boneless, skinless chicken breasts will be chopped into pockets, which will be filled with a savoury blend of cream cheese, Mexican cheese, crispy bacon, and minced jalapenos. With the aid of a toothpick, the chicken breasts are tightly wrapped before being coated in flour, egg wash, and crunchy, seasoned panko bread crumbs. In the same manner as a typical jalapeo popper, the chicken is roasted until the outside is golden brown. The cheese inside of the chicken warms and becomes ooey as it cooks. The filling of the breaded chicken breast is revealed when you cut into it. Each morsel tastes exactly like your preferred appetiser.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of cream cheese, 8 ounces, at room temperature
- a half-cup of grated Mexican cheese mixture
- 4 pieces of cooked and crisped bacon, chopped, along with 3 tablespoons of minced jalapenos and extra slices for garnish
- 4 skinless, boneless breasts of chicken
- all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup
- 0.5 teaspoons of salt
- freshly ground black pepper, one-fourth of a teaspoon
- Panko breadcrumbs in a cup
- taco seasoning, 1 teaspoon
- two huge eggs
STEPS TO MAKE IT

Step 2:
Mix the cream cheese, Mexican cheese blend, diced bacon, and jalapenos in a sizable bowl.
Step 3:
Cut each chicken breast horizontally, almost butterflied-style, to make a pocket in the centre. Scoop 1/4 cup of the cream cheese-jalapeno mixture into the pocket.
Step 4:
If necessary, keep filling in with a toothpick.
Step 5:
Combine the flour, salt, and pepper in a small basin.
Step 6:
Eggs should be beaten and put in a second shallow bowl.
Step 7:
Combine the panko breadcrumbs and taco spice in a third small bowl.
Step 8:
Each stuffed chicken breast should be dredged in the flour mixture and the excess should be shaken off.
Step 9:
Next, take each chicken breast and dip it into the beaten egg then sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the chicken breast to coat it. Push to secure.
Handling Jalapenos
Care must be taken when handling and chopping jalapeo peppers. The ribs and seeds are visible once the fruit is cut open. The pepper's hot spot is in this area. When handling hot peppers like these, wear gloves, and never, ever touch your eyes. Remove the gloves with caution and thoroughly wash your hands after mincing the peppers and removing the ribs and seeds.
